With the world still wallowing in one of the worst economic climates in recent history, many people are left searching for jobs and money making ventures.

More and more people are engaging in resume writing and sending, and other job hunting activities.

Unfortunately, the financial crisis had made finding employment difficult and highly strenuous as companies have been forced to cut staff and scale down their operations.

Nowadays, it seems that to be able to find employment, an aspirant needs to change his mindset regarding the jobs that he wants.

As they say desperate times can call for desperate measures. While not entirely considered a desperate measure, applicants nowadays must be able to learn how to lower their expectations and must also be able to accept positions that were not their primary options when they applied.

These changes in the mindset must be present in all the aspects of the applicant, from resume writing all the way into the cover letter that they would write and the interviews that they would have to attend.

For lowered expectations, the aspirant must be able to show in his resume writing that he or she is willing to work for salaries that may not be as high as they initially desired. They would need to be flexible and not just stick to the high salary that they initially wanted.

They could also show in their resume writing that they are willing to take up positions that are suited to their skills but are not in their list of priority work.

Statements in their resume writing such as "negotiable salary expectations” or “willing to learn and work at other available positions” would be able to convey this mindset.

This does not mean that the future employees should always work for minimum wage and work at low quality jobs, it just means that with the current economic climate their resume writing, demeanor, and interview answers should reflect the openness to bear, or willingess to enjoy these less than ideal jobs, at least until the economy stabilizes.
